First In Bodo Literacy
BODO BIJAB(BOOKS)
The first Bodo book "Bodoni Phisa O aayen" was published in the year 1915. The writers of this book are Ganga Charan Kachari and Norpati Kachari and the book was published by Harichandra Kachari and Madharam Kachari.
KHONTHAI(POEM)
The first Bodo poems published in "Bibar Laisi" magazine are:
1) Bima Phisa(Satish Chandra Brahma)
2) Binai(Jaldar Brahma)
3) Gwdan Bwthwr( Bisnucahran Basumatary)
4) Phungni Solo(Yogendta Nath Basumatary)
5) Ma Jalangkho(Maniram Islary)

"Khontai methai" the first Bodo poem book written by Satish Chandra Basumatary, was published in the year 1925.Modaram Brahma and Rupnath Brahma are also contributed their some famous poems in this book.
SHUNGDO SOLO(SHORT STORY)
Esan Chandra Machahary the John Keats of Bodos wrote the first Bodo short story named "Aabari" and he was one of great romantic poet of Bibar Mooga.
SHUNGDO SOLO BIJAB(SHORT STORY BOOK)
In the year 1970, Chittaranjan Muchaharay published the short stories of Bodos named "Phwimal mijing" and which is considered as the first short story book in the Bodo literature. This book contains three short stories -
i) Phimaal mijing ii) Gwmanai dairy iii) Fangnwi narecol bifang
RAITHAI(PROSE)
“Bodoni nidaan” written by Maniram Sampramary published in the year 1932 is considered as the first Bodo prose in the history of Bodo literature.
SOLOMA(NOVEL)
The Bodo first novel is "Zuzaini or" written by Chittaranjan Muchahary published in the year 1962.
TUN-BHOUTINA(DRAMA)
The first Bodo drama is "Nalabuha" and is written by Satish Chandra Basumatary in the year 1919.This drama was shown in the first “Bodo Satro Sonmilan” held in Kokrajhar Govt. College, Kokrajhar. But unfortunately this drama is not published.
LAISI(MAGAZINE)
“Bibar” is the first Bodo magazine and was published by then Bodo student’s union named “Bodo Satro Sonmilan”.Satish Chandra Basumatary is the editor of this magazine from 1924 to 1925. Bibar laisi has total eight volumes, first four volumes were released in the first year and remaining four were in the second year. The era 1920-1937 is called “Bibar mooga” in Bodo literature.

The first Bodo newspaper is “Banjar” which was a weekly newspaper and was first published in the year 1972 and Bihuram Bodo is the editor of this newspaper.

Dau Huduni Methai Boro Feature Film Trailer
Dau Huduni Methai' (Song of the Horned Owl) had been selected for screening at the Montreal World Film Festival (MWFF) 2015, one of Canada's oldest and most prestigious film festivals. The film depicts the effects of Bodo insurgency on villagers. This Film also received the Best Feature Film in Bodo in 63rd National Film Award(Source: youtube)
